Whether you call your genitals your kitty, your bits, your V, your vulva, or vagina – how much do you really know about it and how to keep it healthy?
What is healthy? What is ‘normal’? Why do our bodies behave the way they do. Vulvas are complex and beautiful beasts capable of more than you know—that can be both rewarding and annoying.
Why are we consistently trying to strengthen our vagina? What about menstruation sex? Pubic Hair? Do we even know the difference between vulva and vagina? What will we “achieve” if we have this seemingly perfect and perfectly balanced vagina? We’ll debunk common myths and also ponder the questions that don’t yet have definitive answers. Because we’re still in the early stages of medically understanding a lot of things to do with the vagina. Time to be our own detectives….
One of the biggest ‘mysteries’ that seems to plague us and also serve as a source of shame is pH. Yep, just like a bubbly hot tub your vagina needs to be regulated too. But don’t go adding that bleach just yet. As a society equipped to “quick fixes” we will discuss the role of antibiotics, homeopathic, and learning what your natural state is. Lola will talk about her ongoing aggravation with BV and what she has learned both from medicine and holistic practices.
This Soiree will be guided as more of a discussion group than an actual class. The goal is to begin questioning our ways of thinking and open a conversation. Making vaginal health a prideful conversation instead of a shameful one. Come with questions. Come with concerns. Come with an open mind.
There will be a container set as to not propel the conversation to a complaint session. This is a body and gender inclusive event.
Shaming of any kind will not be tolerated and you will be expected to learn and understand if you do so.
Nibbles and Bubbles to be provided.
